The Success of Women Build
Thank you to all who made the National Women Build week a
tremendous success. As a
result of our involvement
in the program, we were selected as one of 175 affiliates across the
United States to receive a $5000 grant. The Women Build Group
got to work in January to
secure sponsorships for
the home. Construction began in Fourth Creek Village in February and
has been going strong
ever since. Lillian Dye is
the proud Habitat partner
who takes ownership of
the home in late June.
Women Build is Habitat’s volunteer program for women who want to learn
construction skills and make a difference by building homes and
communities. We will not stop with Lillian’s house! Look for more
information about exciting Women Build projects to come.
