Today, giving back is more important than ever. Habitat Iredell invites you to join us through non-traditional giving opportunities
as we work in partnership with people in need, helping them
secure decent, affordable shelter.Finding affordable building sites in Iredell County is one of our
major challenges. A charitable gift of a building site would not
only provide a family safe and decent shelter for many years to
come. Donated real estate may also be deducted as a
charitable contribution. Please consult with your tax accountant
to determine the tax benefits available.
Another option is to sell a building site to Habitat at a reduced price. A charitable contribution may also be available in this
situation, so please check with your accountant. Not only will
this type of sale reduce taxes, but it is a gift that will keep on
giving for years!
A gift of stocks or bonds may provide an opportunity for tax savings while generously sharing with others. You should consult with your
tax accountant for proper tax guidance prior to making this type of
